    Chesapeake Bay
    Surrounded by Virginia and Maryland, Chesapeake Bay is the largest estuary in the United States. The Susquehanna River, the longest river on the American East Coast, empties into Chesapeake Bay at Havre de Grace, Maryland. The Bay is a popular spot for boating, fishing and sailing. Major centers on the Bay include Annapolis, Baltimore and Hampton.

    The Ohio River begins at the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Stretching 981 mi (1579 km), the river ends when it joins the Mississippi River at Cairo, Illinois.
